An all-in-one app? More than half of Poles could use an app aggregator
  • Nearly 60% of the respondents report they would like to use a solution that aggregates different apps.
  • Allegro makes it possible with mini-apps, with new deployments including a recurring shopping planner and a price scanner.
  • One of the most sought-after solutions in the Allegro app is a loyalty card wallet.
What makes us use a mobile app? More than 60%1 of the respondents downloaded the Allegro app because of its convenience offered by quick access to the platform. It is no wonder then that they enjoy the new features implemented as mini-apps, which give them even faster and easier access to a range of additional features.
The latest deployments include a recurring shopping planner app, which offers easy access to a list of items that regularly make it into your shopping cart such as cleaning products, groceries and cosmetics. Using the mini-app, you can quickly go to relevant offers and easily check the price, as the feature not only suggests your favourite products but also finds them at the lowest price.
Recently, Allegro has also introduced a price scanner that can help with your everyday shopping in many ways, enabling you to not only check the price of an item on Allegro and compare it with that available in a brick-and-mortar store but also easily find a product on Allegro that caught your eye in a physical store. Once you open the mini-app, simply click to scan a product and find it on Allegro. A simple comparison of the availability and, most importantly, the price of an item allows users to choose the most attractive offer with no hassle.

The mini-apps available in our app are designed to help users with everyday shopping, greatly simplifying processes such as searching for a product or comparing prices. We continue to work on new features and develop the existing ones. A case in point is the “recurring shopping”; we want to give users even quicker access to lists of the most popular products based on not only their shopping history but also wider trends we see on our platform. Wherever we see potential touchpoints, we like to combine online and physical shopping, as illustrated by the already mentioned price scanner, as well as our loyalty card wallet.

Loyalty card storage is the most sought-after solution

The most anticipated solution in the Allegro app was the loyalty card wallet, with more than 40% of the respondents2 naming it one of the most desirable features. As shown by the latest survey conducted by SW Research3 for Allegro, as many as 86% of Poles are members of loyalty programmes. However, what usually discourages them from participating is the need to install too many apps. Already one in five people believes they have too many of them, and 9% would like to have more but cannot afford it, usually because their smartphone storage is already full. Small wonder that more than half of the respondents say they could use a loyalty card aggregator, and nearly 60% of the survey participants said they would be interested in an app that aggregates different features.
As shown by the survey4, the most popular loyalty programmes are offered by general stores (63%), filling stations (46%), drugstores (45%) and clothing retailers (35%). As many as 70% of the respondents report that the loyalty programme motivates them to shop at the particular store, and two-thirds are more likely to choose the store if they are a member of its loyalty programme. However, participation often involves the need to have many mobile apps, which discourages over 27% of the respondents from becoming a “club member”.

We see great potential for working with other brands on new solutions in mini-apps, whether by developing the loyalty card wallet or by creating wholly new and original solutions. An excellent example of this approach is the mini-app created in partnership with LEGO to celebrate Children’s Day, which has become enormously popular with users. This is why we are open to using Allegro technology to address the needs diagnosed by our partners.

By sharing more mini-apps with its users, Allegro continues its commitment to deliver innovation and facilitate online shopping. The Allegro app is available for download on both Android and iOS.
