“Home”: Allegro reminds us to give our loved ones what they need most in its latest Christmas ad

“Home” is a Christmas story about love and family. In this year’s campaign, Allegro tackles the passage of time and how it affects relationships with our loved ones.

As a shopping platform, Allegro helps customers satisfy their everyday needs, using its holiday ads as a platform to discuss subjects they find important and topical. This year, Allegro brings customers a touching story of an elderly man and his family. 
“Home” portrays a man who wants to feel needed and show he still has strength and agency. The man faces the challenges of everyday life, looking after his home, even though it gets more difficult with time. Family plays a major part in the story; the son understands how the sense of self-reliance matters to his father, and he is the one who gives him the most beautiful Christmas gift — a sense of agency.
Allegro makes sure that its holiday ads highlight the role of interpersonal relationships and what really matters to us. The key message, “Give your loved ones what they need most”, is reflected by the Christmas spot, directed by Swedish director Jesper Ericstam and produced by Moon Films. The creative concept and script were created by Ogilvy Warsaw. The full 2-minute version of the spot is available on Allegro’s YouTube channel while the 45-second format will be aired on TV and VOD platforms. The campaign will also include publications on social media platforms such as TikTok, Facebook and YouTube prepared by HandMade. Media buying was handled by Starcom.
